Norio Shibata，日本名古屋工业大学教授。他1988年于大阪药物科学大学获得学士学位，分别于1990年和1993年获得大阪大学的药物科学硕士学位和博士学位。随后，1993年和1994年分别于大阪大学和牛津大学从事博士后工作，1996年和1997年分别在相模中央化学研究所和富山医药学大学从事研究工作，2003年开始在名古屋工业大学担任副教授，2008年担任教授。

Norio Shibata教授是日本著名的氟化学家，已在J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Chem. Sci.、Org. Lett.、Chem. Commun.等国际权威刊物发表文章400余篇。他带领团队近年来在不对称合成含有一个三氟甲基季碳中心的生物活性分子方面取得了突破性的进展，开发了多种含三氟甲基季碳中心化合物的不对称合成策略。由于他在氟化学领域的突出贡献，获得了近二十个国际奖项，例如“Lecture Award in the International Congress on Pure & Applied Chemistry (ICPAC) 2018 (2018)”, “ACS Award for Creative Work in Fluorine Chemistry (2019)”, “The 18th (2018) Green and Sustainable Chemistry Awards by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (2019), and “The Society of Iodine Science Award (2019)”。他还是许多杂志的主编和编委，例如Editor of Cogent Chemistry (2015-present), associate editor of frontiers in Chemistry (2016-−present), editorial board of Journal of Fluorine Chemistry (2013−present), ChemistryOpen (2012−present), ScienceOpen (2013−present), Fluorine Notes (2014−present), and RSC Advances (2019-)。
